New Poetry

Moonlight

Moonlight shining in the stars,
Oh so far away,
Tucked so tightly behind sky bars,
Doomed there to stay.

Frozen fingers reaching high,
Wrenching at those bars,
Reaching with an absent mind in the sky,
But it's up too far,

Tiny sun rays rise from behind a hill,
Stretching and yawning,
Taking over night that was so still,
In the mornings dawning,

The Moonlight fades away inside it's cave,
Fading to a tiny light,
It would never forgive or had never forgave,
Waiting there till night.

Hi Eden
I like the way you have used metaphors to create binary opposites to paint a picture of the coldness and darkness of the night and the warmth and light of the morning.
Fantastic use of these poetry tools make this a very memorable poem. One that I enjoyed reading several times and each time I did I found something new to wonder at.
